 1) What key conventions of TV advertising can you find in the Galaxy advert?

2) What is the key message the Galaxy advert is communicating about its chocolate? The slogan for the advert will help you with this question.
that their chocolate is compared to silk as its more luxury compared to the other chocolate brands which are compared to cotton so they are less luxury than galaxy chocolate bar.

3) Who is Audrey Hepburn and why did Galaxy select Audrey Hepburn for this advert?
Audrey Hepburn is a famous Hollywood actress from the 1950's and they used so old viewers who watched the advert can feel some nostalgia when they watch hehe advert which makes them more likely to buy the chocolate bar

intertextuality is when one media text references another media text

5) What Audrey Hepburn films are suggested in this advert and how is this effect created (e.g. mise-en-scene - CLAMPS: costume, lighting, actors, make-up, props, setting)?
costume- she is wearing an old dress which is one of the dresses women would wear in the 1950's
lighting-they use bright light to maybe show that when you have the chocolate bar it makes you happy
actor-they use Audrey Hepburn to show older viewer they should buy the chocolate bar
makeup-the girl has a lot of makeup to represent how much makeup women would wear in the 1950's
props-they have the hat5 which she takes off the bus driver and they use the car which saves her as the bus is stopped so that solves the new equilibrium  

6) Which of Propp's character types are can be found in the advert and how do they change? (Note: just choose two or three character types that are definitely used in the advert - it does not use all seven).
the hero-the man who is in the car because he makes AH to her destination
the villain-the fruit because they disrupt the bus on its journey
the princess-AH because that is person that needs saving
helper-the bus driver because he gives his hat to the girl


7) How does the advert's narrative (story) follow Todorov's theory of equilibrium?
at the start the bus is just taking its normal journey through the Amalfi coast which is the first equilibrium then the disequilibrium happens when the fruit cart goes in front of the road and all the fruit spills on the road. Then the new equilibrium happens when the man saves the lady and takes her to her destination

8) What representation of celebrity can be found in this advert? Think about how Audrey Hepburn is presented.
 Audrey Hepburn is presented as a timeless, beautiful icon, associating the product with luxury and silk. Her image makes the product feel more exclusive and premium.
 

9) What representations of gender can you find in this advert?
women are the ones who need saving and the man is the one with the flashy car who saves and does the job and the women is helpless Women might be shown using it for social or family-focused activities, while men may be portrayed using it for work or tech-related tasks.

10) How are stereotypes subverted at the end of the Galaxy advert to reflect modern social and cultural contexts?
At the end of a Galaxy advert, stereotypes are often subverted by showing both men and women using the phone in equal, diverse ways. For example, a woman might be shown using the phone for business or tech-related tasks, while a man could be seen engaging in social or creative activities.
