- narrative-including a strong message or story sometimes an emotional meaning attached.

- promotional device-to sell the band or artist's music
- editing and sound-footage is usually edited to match

4) What launched in 1981 and why were music videos an important part of the music industry in the 1980s and 1990s?
MTV-the first ever music television channel you could watch on TV and it was a way of how you could promote yourself and make yourself famous in the music industry and it was first bit on technology where you could show your music off to to rest of the people watching on their TV's
5) How are music videos distributed and watched in the digital age?
you can watch it through Spotify and other streaming websites but people in the digital age don't watch music videos and just listen to the song while they do something else.
