1) How does this His Dark Materials trailer meet the conventions of a TV drama series?

his dark materials meet the conventions of a tv drama series by they have multiple locations and worlds in the trailer that the girl travels through, they also have multiple characters shown throughout the whole trailer. there was different storylines for the different people trying to catch the girl. there was a problem as the boy and the girl were in a different worlds that they weren't supposed to be in. they left it on a cliff hangar as the people trying to catch her all m et at the same time and you don't know who caught the girl.

2) What genre (or genres) are suggested by this His Dark Materials trailer?
the genre that his dark materials trailer gives out is fantasy and adventure 

3) What kind of characters and narratives are introduced in this trailer?
there are lot of different characters you can see trying to capture the girl in the trailer that look like that they are from different times and they are all trying to capture her for different reasons in the trailer for his dark materials   

4) What settings appear in the trailer?
there looks like a desert type tower in the trailer and then it changes to a more aquatic version where you can see a island in the middle of the ocean that they might go in the series. There is a quick shot of the girl looking through the jungle which is another new setting. There is also a church in the trailer where there are men burning paper. 

5) Who do you think the target audience for His Dark Materials is? Give reasons for your answer.

I think the target audience for his dark materials is young adults who like fantasy and adventure with a bit of science fiction because the main characters are teenagers or young adults. it could also be for adults to as it explores philosophical ideas that link to adults.
